Get into Grooming

In case you’re not yet familiar with me, my name is Lori Blevins, and I’ve been a professional groomer since 1989 and I’ve owned my grooming business since 1991.

Over the years I’ve helped many people get into grooming, hence this website, getintogrooming.com

My goal with making this website and the Get into Grooming package is to help answer any questions you might have, and give you the information you need to get started in the grooming industry without making the mistakes that many people make.

I talk with people all the time about becoming groomers and opening their own business, like Megan here:

Megan J.
Future Groomer

"Hey Lori, I got your message. And YES like I was talking to you about, I’ve been so frustrated the last few years because I HATE my current job working at a call center. I get so anoyed talking to strangers all day and it’s sooooo boring. I’m really glad I found you and I just started reading your books. I watched the “Getting Started” videos a couple of days and finished them last night, and they also answered a lot of my questions. I just needed to know what to do to begin."

If you’ve spent anytime on my website, you know that grooming can be a wonderful career and comes with many benefits:
  • You can make excellent money

  • You can start making money quickly

  • You don't have to spend a lot of money to get started

  • You can open your own business

  • You can be your own boss

  • You can make your own schedule

  • You can take time off whenever you need

  • You get paid to work with animals

  • You can have a great career

You also don't have to spend much money to get started, and you also won't have to spend a lot of time going to school.

For example, many people who eventually become groomers want to be veterinarians or vet techs. It can take a lot of time and money to become a veterinarian, and the truth is most people aren't really cut out for that type of work.

Of course, it also takes a long time to become a veterinarian. Even becoming a vet tech can require years in school and a lot of money.

If you want to have a career making good money working with animals, grooming is probably your best option, especially when compared to other careers that involve taking care of animals.

Did you know...?

Groomers who own their own grooming business can sometimes make even more than a veterinarian?

Even a small grooming business can bring in $100,000 - $150,000 a year.

When I decided to make Get into Grooming, I noticed that there really weren’t a lot of good quality resources available.

There’s plenty of books about grooming techniques and the different dog breeds, but there really aren’t too many resources that will tell you what it’s like as a groomer, how to get started, etc.

There’s a lot of information you need to go over before you become a groomer or open your own business.

If you don’t do your homework, you will end up making mistakes that will cost you a lot of time and money. I guarantee this, because I’ve made many mistakes along the way during my own grooming career.

And I also noticed that a lot of the information that was available online about actually working in the career was lacking.

About the only thing you’ll find is very basic info, and if you try to use this information you’re not going to have all of the details.

I want to share my many years of experience and expertise with you, and that’s why I made the Get into Grooming package.

The package includes:
